Rams Announce First Part of Coaching Line-up for 2012 The Epping Rams Senior Rugby Division is pleased to make the following announcement regarding coaches for the 2012 season. After undertaking a review of our coaching structures, the committee would like to make the first of two announcements regarding our appointments for 2012. Nathan "Prodigy" Harvey has retained the position as 1st Grade Coach and Club Coach for 2012. Harvey led 1st Grade in 2011, having previously coached Colts for 3 years, including one Grand Final appearance. "We were pleased to be able to appoint Nathan to the role again in 2012. We had a few interested parties who were keen to join the Rams, but it was Nathan's loyalty and passion for the Rams that led to his appointment," said Seniors President, Wayne Ryan. John "JC" Carters takes over the role of 2nd Grade Coach in 2012. Carters coached the Club's Colts side in 2011 and 2010, where he took them to the Grand Final with Nathan Harvey. He will bring with him, years of playing experience for the Sydney and Newcastle competitions, as well as the experience of being involved with the NSW PSSA Rugby Union team. Adam O'Hara brings his coaching skills from the Navy to team up with Brendan "Mav" Walsh to coach 3rd Grade. Unfortunately for Walsh, some unfortunate injuries have led to him being unable to play this year but he was keen to stay involved and jumped at the chance to coach when approached by O'Hara. "I am really looking forward to a good year on and off the field with the Rams in 2012. We had some good results in 2011, but need to continue to improve and look to add more silverware to our trophy cabinet. The chance to, once again, work closely with JC is an exciting opportunity, and I know that O'Hara and Mav had already started to plan for their troops," said Harvey. "We are looking to overhaul not only the way that we train in 2012, but also hope to bring about an exciting change to the way that the Rams play rugby." Ryan said the appointments of 4th Grade, 5th Grade and Colts would follow soon. "We are just trying to finalise the last information regarding these positions, but hope to make an announcement in the next week."
